Today, I decided to experiment with laser engraving on ceramic tiles purchased from Bunnings Warehouse. Given that I was using a diode laser, I didn't set my expectations too high. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
The process turned out to be slower than anticipated. It took a couple of hours to complete the engraving using the 20-watt module at 100% power and a speed of 500 mm/sec to ensure a proper etching. Despite the time investment, the end result exceeded my expectations—it turned out to be pretty darn good, if I do say so myself.
