For this process to work effectively, the product must either be "sublimation coated" or "sublimation ready," meaning it has been treated with a special polymer coating or contains polyester material.

What materials are not compatible with sublimation?

However, it's essential to note that not all materials are compatible with sublimation. Fabrics made from natural fibers like cotton, as well as dark fabrics, are not suitable for sublimation printing due to the lack of polyester content or poor visibility of the design on dark backgrounds.
